German Gothic Rerebrace, Vambrace & Couter
Gothic plate armor (german: Gotischer Plattenpanzer) is a type of plate armor of steel made in the regions of Germany and the Holy Roman Empire during the late Middle Ages (15th century). The armor provided full-body protection to the knight who wore it. The last half of the 15th Century saw armor reach its apex in beauty in both form and function. This type of armor would have been a common site on the battlefields of The War of the Roses.
This rerebrace, vambrace & couter set offers upper and lower arm protection. The sections are joined by the elbow coup. The right and left sides are open on the inside to fit a large range of arm sizes. The is also has some lateral adjustment. Made of 18 gauge steel, this is made to complete our German Gothic Cuirass (#MR300100).
