German Gothic Pauldrons

Gothic plate armor (german: Gotischer Plattenpanzer) is a type of plate armor of steel made in the regions of Germany and the Holy Roman Empire during the late Middle Ages (15th century). The armor provided full-body protection to the knight who wore it. The last half of the 15th Century saw armor reach its apex in beauty in both form and function. This type of armor would have been a common site on the battlefields of The War of the Roses.

Made of 18 gauge steel, these pauldrons offer right and left shoulder protection. Beautifully fluted with open work, these are made to go with our mitten gauntlets (#MR300226) and German Gothic Cuirass (#MR300100)
